Captain Bob recently finished
second in the 2004
TV show
"Fishing Challenge" after racking up total cumulative points of 312!
Here's a direct link to the
final points chart. He and his contestants, John Wiksten and
Lance Keeter, finished only 11 points behind the leader! Just one
more fish would've won it, but they still hold the record for the
biggest grouper ever caught on the show! The show is carried
locally by Bright House cable channel 47. The show appears every
Monday night at 7:30 PM, and features both inshore and offshore
competitions. |

MEET THE CAPTAINS |
 |
Captain Bob Blomberg,
(pictured left), and Captain Terrylee Gillingham, (pictured right), are
Pinellas county natives and have fished the local waters from
Sarasota to Crystal River, both inshore and offshore, all their lives.
Combined, they have a vast resource of GPS coordinates for exhilarating
offshore fishing and a multitude of favorite areas for non-stop
action on the inshore and coastal trips.
Captain Bob and
Captain Terrylee both carry 50 and 100 ton Master Merchant Marine Coast
Guard licenses and are fully trained in all aspects of boating to
insure a safe and memorable trip.

Capt Bob primarily skippers the
Mako and fishes for grouper, snapper, amberjack, kingfish, cobia and the
occasional mahi-mahi. Also, ask him about freshwater spring
fishing in deep water for bruiser amberjacks. And if you haul in
some snapper, be sure to make him give you his personal Snapper
Almandine recipe. Delicious!
Capt Terrylee primarily pilots the Dorado and fishes for snook, redfish,
trout, coastal grouper, tarpon, and the occasional "lone shark"!
(Sorry, just had to throw that in!) Fishing the shallower coastal
waters, the action on his charters is often non-stop! Also, ask Capt Terrylee about his
fly fishing trips! |

BOATS AND EQUIPMENT |
|
Both of the Lone Shark Charter vessels are
equipped with the latest USCG approved safety gear and have VHF radios
as well as cell phones onboard. Both also have large live
wells for live bait fishing. Fishing licenses are provided, and
all fishing gear is furnished and of premium quality! |

THE MAKO |
|

The Mako 29' center console
offshore boat piloted by Capt Bob is powered with twin Mercury
OptiMax 200 motors. She's a fast, dry and comfortable boat
featuring top of the line Furuno radar plotter and color sonar fish
finder. She has an auto pilot, a satellite phone and an EPIRB,
(Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon), to insure both comfort
and safety for those deep water runs. She's even equipped with
XM satellite radio for some great, uninterrupted tunes no matter how
far out we're fishing!

THE DORADO |
|
The
Dorado 23' center console piloted by Capt Terrylee is powered by a
Mercury OptiMax 200 motor and fitted with a Porta-Lift jack plate to
raise and lower the motor and allow her to get into those tight shallow
spots in the bay. She is well suited for inshore and coastal
fishing, but is certainly stable enough to take out to the deep water,
(as we used to do that with her all the time!). She is a very versatile, comfortable boat equipped with a
Furuno plotter and a color sonar fish finder.
